Annunciation - Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian artists that used linear perspective in order to create an illusion of distance and space on a flat plane. Leonardo uses a horizon line and an array of orthogonal lines in his piece in order to present depth on a flat surface. This is one of his finished pieces that he completed during his early 20's. Aside from many other artists, Leonardo thinks of perspective as a mathematical problem in which he addresses as a mathematician and an artist.
Ah.. The famous work of da Vinci. It's an excellent example of what we are trying to do in class. His drawing technique astounds me every time I see this work. Wonderful!
